Double Helpings.

Despite frequent April showers the sun has been shining and we have been having some lovely picnics. I still haven't totally got my head around sensible picnic food, note to self: yoghurt is messy :0) Still no inspiration for the beans, I'm going to see my chum this weekend and pick her brains...

I have been teasing you all for days with promises of new recipies so here they both are for your enjoyment. Firstly, Zingy Chicken Nuggets it took Millie a while to get used to the texture but once she had these little beauties disappeared quickly. Secondly, Beany Spread / Dip a seriously yummy addition to our lunchtime menu. Millie is particularly partial to the inclusion of a bit of yoghurt before serving. Best of all for us Mamas, it uses store cupboard ingredients and whips up in under five minutes - perfect for those last minute panics (or is that just me?). Hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy Days,

Kat x

maybe you could cook them the way Sasha will apparently eat black beans.
Cooked very well (till soft) then served cold with diced raw tomatos, diced raw onions, cilantro, garlic, lemon juice, and a little black pepper and salt. You can add avocados too if you'd like. Very simple and a good picnic food.

Gosh, that sounds lovely! I might have to do that minus the tomatoes :0)

you could do roasted bell pepper instead. That'd be good!
